FLA Women's Golf continues their winning streak at Regionals
The FLA womens golf  team was undefeated in conference play this season and took the conferenc title with no other teams able to catch them. They also won the conference tournament and had all 4 players make the NCAC  All-Conference team- Sara Vaught, Beth Vaught, Sydnie Averette, Morgan Oakley. Sara Vaught was the  individual tournament champion and also was runner up for player of the year. FLA Coach Chris Teague recieved the honor of NCAC Coach of the Year!

NCHSAA Regionals were held in Goldsboro this past Monday October 16. 10 teams were enterd and a total of 54 individuals competed in the tournament. FLA finished in 3rd place as a team which is huge for a 2nd year team. The top 3 teams in Regionals received an automatic bid to the NCHSAA State Championship and will compete in Southern Pines, NC on October 23rd & 24th. Congratulations to Sara Vaught, Beth Vaught and Morgan Oakley for advanceing. Congratulations to the Lady Firebirds and we wish them luck at the states!
